Terms of Use Quantum Maritime Conference Website

- DEFINITIONS AND ACCEPTANCE
1.1 These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Quantum Maritime Conference website (the “Platform”), the QIS App (the “Application”), and any associated content, services, or tools, operated and managed by Vernewell Management Consultancies LLC (“Vernewell,” “we,” “our,” or “us”), a Dubai-based company duly incorporated and existing under the laws of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), licensed under the Department of Economic Development (DED), and acting as the official organizer and executor of the Quantum Maritime Conference (the “Conference”).
1.2 The Conference is hosted by a separate entity (the “Host Entity”), with whom Vernewell collaborates. All provisions herein shall apply to protect Vernewell, the Host Entity, and all affiliated or partner organizations (collectively, “Affiliated Entities”).
1.3 By accessing or using the Platform, the Application, or participating in any aspect of the Conference, including browsing, submitting data, presenting, or engaging with our services, you acknowledge and accept these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and Cookies Policy (collectively, the “Policies”).
1.4 If you do not agree to these Terms or our Policies, you must refrain from using the Platform or Application and may not participate in the Conference.
- EVENT NATURE AND SCOPE
2.1 The Quantum Maritime Conference is a high-level, private, and curated event. It is not open to the general public. Participation is strictly by invitation or pre-approval.
2.2 The Conference aims to explore the intersection of maritime and logistics industries with emerging technologies, particularly quantum technologies and digital transformation.
2.3 No tickets are sold, and participation is contingent on approval by the organizers.
- REGISTRATION, INVITATION, AND PARTICIPATION
3.1 Participation is limited to individuals or entities who: (a) receive an invitation; (b) submit a valid registration through the designated QIS App; and (c) obtain formal written confirmation of acceptance.
3.2 The organizers reserve the right to decline or revoke participation at any stage, with or without explanation.
3.4 SUBSCRIPTIONS AND ACCESS CREDENTIALS
3.4.1 Subscriptions, invitations, and access to the Quantum Maritime Conference—whether for in-person or hybrid participation—are strictly personal, non-transferable, and contingent upon successful registration via the designated QIS App. No participation or platform access shall be permitted without prior subscription and formal confirmation.
3.4.2 Each participant must use only their individually approved and authenticated access credentials as issued through the QIS App. Unauthorized transfer, sharing, duplication, or attempted impersonation of access credentials shall result in immediate revocation of access, termination of participation, and potential permanent exclusion from all future events organized, co-organized, or facilitated by Vernewell and Affiliated Entities.
3.4.3 Participants bear sole responsibility for safeguarding the confidentiality and security of their access credentials. Any suspected or actual breach must be reported immediately via the official contact channels provided in the Terms of Use or Privacy Policy.
3.4.4 Vernewell, the Host Entity, and all Affiliated Entities expressly disclaim all liability for any disruption arising from unauthorized access or credential misuse, including due to negligence or third-party interference.
3.4.5 By proceeding with the subscription and accessing the Platform or the event through the QIS App, users expressly agree to abide by these provisions and acknowledge that failure to comply constitutes a breach of the Terms.
- INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
4.1 All content, media, materials, presentations, video and audio recordings, photographic documentation, branding, platform architecture, and all associated intellectual property featured on or through the Platform, the Application, or during the Conference, including speaker content, session materials, panel discussions, visual or audio assets, and Q&A contributions, are the exclusive property of Vernewell Management Consultancies LLC (“Vernewell”), the Host Entity, or their respective licensors and partners, and are protected by applicable intellectual property and copyright laws.
4.2 Any unauthorized use, including but not limited to copying, recording, broadcasting, reproducing, distributing, editing, reusing, publishing, or commercially exploiting any portion of the aforementioned content, without express prior written permission from Vernewell or the rightful rights holder, is strictly prohibited and may lead to legal action.
4.3 Use of any content from the Conference, Application, or Platform by sponsors, partners, media representatives, or third parties is subject to separate licensing or content use agreements, which shall be enforced accordingly.
4.4 All rights not expressly granted under these Terms are reserved by Vernewell, the Host Entity, and their licensors.
- MEDIA, CONSENT, AND USE OF IMAGES AND MATERIALS
5.1 By attending, speaking, presenting, or participating in any capacity, you provide Vernewell and its Affiliated Entities an irrevocable, perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, publish, and reproduce your name, image, likeness, voice, video/audio recording, photographs, and contributions for promotional, archival, editorial, or documentary purposes across media formats.
5.2 No compensation or prior approval is required. Participants waive the right to request removal or assert claims of violation of privacy, publicity, or intellectual property.
- CODE OF CONDUCT
6.1 All participants must act with professionalism, courtesy, and respect.
6.2 Any form of harassment, discrimination, intimidation, or misconduct is grounds for immediate exclusion and permanent disqualification.
- DISCLAIMERS AND NO WARRANTY
7.1 The Platform, Application, and Conference content are provided “as is” for informational purposes only. No express or implied warranties are provided.
7.2 Users must independently verify any information before relying on it. No legal, technical, investment, or business advice is provided.
- THIRD-PARTY LINKS AND CONTENT
8.1 The Platform may contain links or references to third-party content. Vernewell disclaims all responsibility for third-party sites, content, or actions.
8.2 Links do not imply endorsement or approval.
- DATA PROTECTION AND PRIVACY
9.1 Data is processed according to our Privacy Policy available on a separate page of this website.
9.2 By using the Platform, Application, or attending the Conference, you consent to:
- The processing of your personal data under UAE law.
- Cross-border data transfers subject to international standards.
- Data sharing with sponsors, host entities, and affiliates under contractual safeguards and data processing agreements.
9.3 Users must report any issues involving children’s data or data security breaches using the reporting mechanisms provided in the Privacy Policy.
- LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
10.1 To the fullest extent permitted by law, Vernewell, the Host Entity, and Affiliated Entities disclaim liability for any loss, damage, or claims arising from:
- Platform or Application use;
- Participation in the Conference;
- Reliance on materials provided;
- Breaches, outages, or force majeure events.
10.2 Users expressly waive all claims and hold harmless Vernewell and all related entities.
- NON-SOLICITATION AND POLITICAL NEUTRALITY
11.1 This Platform shall not be used for any form of solicitation or political agenda.
11.2 The Conference and its organizers maintain a bipartisan, non-partisan, and agenda-free approach, and content shall not be construed as endorsing political affiliations or lobbying activities.
- FORCE MAJEURE
12.1 Neither Vernewell, the Host Entity, nor any Affiliated Entity shall be held liable for any failure or delay in performing obligations under these Terms caused by circumstances beyond reasonable control. Such circumstances include, but are not limited to: acts of God, pandemics, government actions, war, terrorism, cyberattacks, labor disruptions, internet or utility failures, or third-party service interruptions.
12.2 In such cases, Vernewell reserves the right to cancel, modify, or reschedule the Conference or Platform access without incurring liability.
12.3 No reimbursement or compensation shall be due in case of Force Majeure unless expressly agreed in writing.
- AMENDMENTS
13.1 We may revise these Terms at any time. Updates become effective upon publication.
- GOVERNING LAW AND JURISDICTION
14.1 These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates.
14.2 Exclusive jurisdiction shall lie with the Dubai Courts.
- SURVIVAL AND SEVERABILITY
15.1 If any provision of these Terms is deemed unlawful, void, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
15.2 All clauses related to liability, IP, consent, data protection, and jurisdiction shall survive termination of access or event conclusion.
